Gwendoline Christie

Gwendoline Christie is a British actress best known for her roles on Game of Thrones and Star Wars. She joined Game of Thrones (2012-2019) during the show's second season and was nominated in 2019 for an Emmy and Critics' Choice Award for Supporting Actress, Drama Series for her iconic role as the warrior Brienne of Tarth. Christie first appeared in the beloved sci-fi franchise Star Wars in Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015), and reprised her role as the franchise's first female villain, Captain Phasma in Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (2017). She can also be seen as Lucifer in Netflix's The Sandman (2022-2025), Fox's The Darkest Minds (2018), Apple TV’s hit show Severance (2025), and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2. Most recently, she can be seen as the principal Larissa Weems of Nevermore Academy in Tim Burton's Netflix series Wednesday (2024-).
